Biography:
Emily is a certified Yoga instructor providing classes for individuals, couples and small groups. She brings a powerful body and energy connection to each of her teachings. Her expertise stems from over 13 years of training and education. In addition to receiving her teaching certification in therapeutic yoga from Integrative Yoga Therapy, Emily trained with many gifted teachers at the Santa Barbara Yoga Center and The Yoga Garden, and was privileged to study in India, at Yoga Raksanam. This opportunity deepened her understanding of therapeutic yoga and formed her unique approach to the body by including ancient Yogic teachings and modern principles of anatomy and movement.

Emily also earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Syracuse University. With this background she works with children and adults with physical and mental disabilities and individuals with brain injuries. In this capacity, Emily leads yoga and wellness programs at local community organizations helping these individuals thrive and overcome challenges.

In all her teachings, Emily's intention is to provide a fun and safe environment encouraging personal exploration of the yoga practice. She encourages her clients and students to realize an enriching practice of their own that can be enjoyed both on and off the yoga mat.

In her free time, you can find Emily enjoying the local beaches and hiking trails, traveling, and rock climbing.
